@11 months ago with 3 noteseasternpromisess asked: do you know where i can find FRUiTS in paris?
You can buy FRUiTS issues in Paris in the Japanese book shop Junkudo or BookOff (which also sell a lot of japanese second brand books and cds). Both are in the center and at 8min walk between them.

Thanks you ! c:
@1 year agocering asked: I'm currently in Tokyo. Do you have any idea where I could buy FRUiTS?
Actually when I was in Tôkyô I tought it was hard to find them. I usually looked into the combinis but even in Harajuku I didn’t found them that much there. For sure I bought one at SPINNS in Harajuku (and after I didn’t look that much in combini again for it). But try also bookshop !
Anyway, sorry for vague answer, and if someone got the information for sure, feel free to come tell us c:
@1 year ago with 1 notelactoseintolerart asked: Love your blog! Was wondering if you had any issues from around 2004-2006 that you might post some pics from? I'm curious to see how much the trends have already changed since then. I have an older cutie magazine from then and its already quite a bit different. Thanks!
(ugh sorry for late answer) no, unfortunately I don’t have any issues or scans of FRUiTS from 2002 to 2006 to post. I really wish I did, the oldest FRUiTS I have is from 2007 (exept the books) and it’s nothing like now or in the beginnings. If anyone have some you’ll be welcome of course :D
@1 year agoartsykei asked: In relation to someone asking if FRUiTS was still published..I have actually ordered from their web site recently through wholesale. Its a cool way to order 10 or more, and you can sell the rest to your friends, or even ask a local consignment or book shop if they would be interested in trying out FRUiTS where you live! I did it! :)
Wow, I didn’t know that, this is a really great tip, thank you so much ! :D
@1 year ago with 3 notesatrashymermaid-deactivated20110 asked: it is interesting seeing almost all girls from fruits magazine wear some kind of platform shoes. i wonder if most japanese girls wear those a lot.
Well I don’t know for sure about the history of japanese girls wearing platform but I know they’re wearing them since 2000’s. I can’t say if all japanese girls like this kind of shoes, but there’s many girls in Harajuku wearing them. Maybe it’s a sign that the girls in FRUiTS are cool ? lol I don’t know. (okay personnal thought here : I saw in the past 3 days since I’m in Tokyo, women and girls wearing heels but not a lot more than in Paris for exemple. But I’ve only seen platform shoes in Harajuku for now. My experience is small, maybe i’ll change my mind later.)
@1 year ago with 6 notespinkfizard asked: Like the person who asked about where to get FRUiTS in Paris, do you have any idea if it can be found in Sydney, Australia?
No idea sorry but due to this kind of questions, I’m back with my project of FAQ about where to find FRUiTS issue ! I’ve created this page with the help of a few person who already wrote me but I’d like every follower who knows (and had experience) where to buy FRUiTS anywhere in the world to come tell me please ! I’d love to make a database for that :D
@11 months ago with 1 notemarakongkid asked: Is it possible to purchase the magazine anywhere in the UK?
Since I’m not living in the UK I’d rather not speak for myself but I’m sure there must be a way~
And because thoses questions about where to buy are repeat I’ll make a FAQ of it soon! (in the meantime anyone could send me messages about where to buy FRUiTS where you live if you feel like it was never mentionned here, thank you! )
@1 year agocouturenoir asked: How many times have you been to Japan and what were your reasons for going (holiday/study etc)? What percentage of people that you see on the street dress like those out of FRUiTS magazine? + what would you say are the most common street fashion trends there at the moment? Love this blog so much <3
I went to Japan for the first and only time this summer (for holiday). For what is about people dress like that well… I don’t know. there were lot of amazing dressed people in Harajuku but I can’t really give you some kind of percentage of “they-are-so-cool-they-could-be-in-FRUiTS” it’s really hard to tell. (but keep in mind that there is a LOT of people all over in Harajuku and not all of them are looking like in the magazines if that’s what you mean) And I don’t know for sure what make someone get published in FRUiTS for example so~ and I also feel like I didn’t saw all Harajuku … well sorry, I wish I knew the answer but the question really make me wondering.
And about the trends huuuuu… Tokyo bopper shoes ? it’s not breaking news but there is still the half of the snaps in every issue wearing those shoes XD

@1 year ago with 3 notesfuckyeahurbantribes asked: What's the difference between antique kei and dolly kei?
Oh, very good question ! I’m not 100% sure but I think Dolly kei is more in a doll perspective, with pastel pink, white yellow, blue and red, lace and frilly, old fashioned lingerie and red cheeks (and accesories/clothes similar to Spank! can be used something) . For me, Antique Kei is really more with vintage fur scarf, old fashioned enbroidery and the colors are not pink at all but brown, grey, red and black. It’s true than they can be confused together, they had shapes and shops in commun. I really suggest you to look at the both styles tag in this blog : Antique Kei and Dolly Kei, seeing the pictures always help more than any description.
By the way, I’m not sure about was is Cult Party Kei exactly, I tag it when I see it in description of snaps but if someone would like to say something or explain it here, he would be welcome ! :D
